Hey guys,
We are so excited about another awesome year of camp! Please take a minute to read over the following details about camp…what to expect, what to bring and not to bring when you come for your week.
Registration
Monday from 2pm-4pm.
Please do not come early, we will not be able to process your registration before 2pm.
Track Times
At registration you will select your elective track times for each day.
There are plenty of free options, but there are some optional activities with fees:
Horseback Riding – $20
River Tubing – $5
Whitewater Rafting (Teen Week Only) -$30
Paintball (Teen Week Only) – $10
Snack Shop
To prevent campers from carrying cash during the week, we ask that each camper pay $10 at registration for the snack shop. That covers a drink and a snack twice a day.
Encouragement Email
You are welcome to send your camper emails throughout the week. They will be delivered at breakfast, so they must be received by 7:00am to be delivered that day. To send an Encouragement Mail, go to our online form.
What to Bring to camp:
All clothes and other items should be labeled. Bring enough clothes for the length of camp. Comfortable play clothes rather than expensive casual wear are preferred. At least one dress up outfit is suggested for Wednesday night service. Please talk with your child about taking care of and keeping up with belongings. Every effort will be made to help campers keep up with their belongings and find lost items, but the camp cannot be responsible for lost items.
Bible - It is Canal Lake BIBLE Camp!
Bedding - Lodging is in dorm style rooms with twin sized bunk beds. You will need pillows, sheets and blankets or sleeping bag.
T-Shirts - No offensive graphics or words
Shorts - Fingertips should reach the hem of your shorts, unless you have gorilla arms!
Jeans - You will need at least one pair of long pants if you plan on horseback riding
Underwear and socks – We don’t recommend sharing, so please bring enough!
Shoes - Required at all times at camp. We recommend at least one pair of tennis/athletic shoes, water shoes, and flip-flops/sandals.
One Piece Swimsuits - At least two swimsuits are recommended. Campers are not allowed to wear swimsuits except at swimming activities.
Towels and Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, etc.)
Flashlight
ITEMS NOT TO BRING:
Please be sure the following items, which can cause problems and distractions, are NOT brought to camp: cell phones, walkmen, I-PODS, MP3 or tape players, boom boxes, beepers, walkie-talkies, pocket knives, spray cans of any type, food, candy, gum, firecrackers or any fireworks, pellet guns, knives, jewelry, money, inappropriate reading materials, any electronic devices.
To insure the safety of all campers and staff and appropriateness of items brought to camp, the camp staff and/or management will check any and/or all campers’ suitcases, trunks, or other belongings when deemed necessary.
We are looking forward to another great year of camps! If you have any questions that aren’t covered above, feel free to give us a call at the church.
